Inspired by existing vernacular structures in Hamburg’s Nienstedten suburb, the project is a playful composition of six semi-detached and multi-family houses overlooking the Elbe river. By drawing on Nordic brick country houses with their voluminous dark roofs and picturesque gable and dormer variations, a romantic ensemble embedded among old oak trees is achieved.
